The ultimate in luxury and Italian automotive craftmanship
The release of the Lamborghini Huracan saw it face a colossal task of trying to top the massive 14,000 units sold of the its predecessor, the Gallardó. The latest addition to the Lamborghini range is true refinement of the modern supercar. Carrying over the 5.2 litre V10 engine, albeit comprehensively upgraded, the Huracan brings you down the quarter mile at 10.4 seconds flat and delivers blistering acceleration with a seem-less responsiveness that we have come to adore across the Lamborghini range. A 7 speed gearbox and partially carbon fibre chassis put the huracan inline for the title rivalling the Ferrari 488 and McLaren 650s.
In a very un-Lambo way
The most obvious observation is how well the Huracan sits on the road; coupled with how easy it is to drive. The Huracan is surprisingly well mannered in a supercar sort of way. The magnetorheological suspension system is actively deployed to absorb the tyre derived road abnormalities and makes this supercar an extremely enjoyable and comfortable ride. Not unlike a super hero, the Lamborghini Huracan has an alter-ego to it’s personality which unleashes a mechanical symphony of exhaust activity as it forces the vehicle through the wind and cuts the air like a blade. Every mechanically engineered mechanical component is superfluously calibrated to deliver a blistering dash to 100 km/h in under 3.0 seconds. the 30/70 split in the all-wheel drive system is brutishly boundless and puts the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 at poll position.
A jet-inspired cockpit with Audi quality functions
The Lamborghini Huracan sports an aviation theme not unlike its big brother, the Aventador. The car has no central screen, but rather positions the controlling function screen behind the steering wheel for ultimate driver control and ease. The Huracan does not support a traditional gear stick, but rather allows change of motions via shift and pull lever’s built into the console. The anima button on the steering wheel allows for the vehicle to be switched between strada, sport and corsa driving modes. Although driver vision is impaired comparable to an ordinary Toyota Camry, its extremely emotive. One step better than it’s ancestor, the Miura, where you have to open the door and reach around to reverse the vehicle; the Huracan has all the fancy sensors, cameras and guidance technology to make this car a sheer dream to navigate.
